Upcoming refinery, petrochemical and chemical projects in Indonesia

In the coming 2-5 years, Indonesia is moving forward ambitiously with many energy projects planned from upstream to mid and downstream. Billions of dollars will be invested in upstream oil & gas, coal-gasification, refinery, storage facilities and petrochemical/chemical plants. Here below are the opportunities that might sounds interesting to your organization. 

PT Pertamina

· Refinery capacity expansion Dumai. Plaju, Cilacap, Balongan and Balikpapan with total capacity 1 million BPSD.

· New grass root refinery at Tuban and Bontang of 300,000 BPSD each.

· Balongan Refinery and petrochemical project with capacity 3.7 million TPY.

· Upgrading and development of 488 storage facilities.

· Development of gas pipe distribution: 20 projects.


CHANDRA ASRI.

· Development of Coal Gasification for DME, PP, Urea with Bukit Asam, Chandra Asri and Pupuk Indonesia.

· New Polyetylene plant capacity 400,000 TPY.

· New Butene 1 plant capacity

· New MTBE plant capacity

· Second naphtha cracker capacity 1,1 million TPY ethylene, including polymer and derivatives plants.


ASAHIMAS CHEMICAL.

· Expansion of VCM and PVC capacity 200,000 TPY.


NIPPON SHOKUBAI INDONESIA

· Expansion of AA and SAP capacity 100,000 TPY.


LOTTE CHEMICALS.

· New Olefins Plant capacity 1 million TPY ethylene, including polymer and derivatives plants.


POLYTAMA PROPHINDO

· Expansion of PP plant capacity 300,000 TPY
