Nghi Son refinery ramps up production at full capacity this month

After 16 month delay, Vietnam’s Nghi Son refinery, plans to begin commercial operations by Nov. Mr. Shintaro Ishida, General Director of NSRP, said in an interview. The facility is on track to reach its processing limit of 200,000 barrels a day of crude in September, after which it will complete the performance tests and documentation needed to operate commercially.

The full operation of Nghi Son refinery will help Vietnam cut diesel and gasoline imports from neighboring countries, including South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia.
